And a new set of characters started work: DR is DW's former colleague from Habitat for Humanity, he and his co-workers are building the shed. They framed it out in the garage. It will
be sided with Ipe, a.k.a. Ironwood. Much has been said about Ipe. It's very hard. It's very pretty. And today DW announced that it is very affordable. JG and I had to laugh - DW has spent months arguing that it is too expensive.DW has been very busy. He helped P set protection fabric and water retention layers into the biggest planting bed. He is especially in his element finding just the right source of exotic hardware to attach the arbor to the building. He
found the new home of Flame Cut Steel, whose former location in trendy gentrified Williamsburg is now a luxury apartment tower. I am cheering on his attempts to find a use for the ton (literally) of hardward he bought at a liquidation sale from the Brooklyn Navy Yard 20 years ago.
